Our Mission
The Hawaii Golf Course Employee Foundation provides financial relief via fundraising activities to Hawaii Golf Course Employees and their families who are impacted by an emergency hardship or recent medical issue outside of their control.
When the unimaginable happens, such as a loss of a family member, sudden extreme illness employees we will be there to lend a helping hand.
To achieve our mission, HGCEF will do the following:
Our Goal
The goal is to assist the employees financially for them to overcome their personal challenges such as; medical needs, financial difficulties, transportation, living situations, family emergencies and any other challenges that an employee might be going through.
Donation Distribution
The board will receive employee nominations from Hawaii Golf Course Superintendents. The board of Directors, Officers and Members will review the nominations for each employee. We will prioritize the nominations based on the following categories: Death, Natural Disasters, Illness or injury or Catastrophic or Extreme Circumstances.
Funds will be distributed annually in the month of November. The board will work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent to allocate the funds towards the employee financial needs.
Our Operations
The Board of Directors and Members volunteer their time without compensation, resulting in fundraising and administrative costs of less than 2% of total contributions. 98-99% of the donations go straight to Hawaii Golf Course Employees and their families.
Tax Deductible Contributions
The HGCEF is a 501(c)3 non-profit charity registered within the U.S. Your contribution to the foundation is tax deductible within guidelines of the U.S. Internal Revenue Service.
